Building With AI Without Losing Yourself

AI can write the email, draft the spec, ship the feature. What it can’t do is decide who you’re becoming while you use it. That part is still yours.

I’ve started asking a simpler question before I open a model: what am I trying to learn here, and am I about to skip it? Sometimes the slow path is the point. Sometimes it isn’t. Knowing the difference is the work.

The founders I trust most use AI like a sharp knife — with respect, with intention, and never as a substitute for the thinking that makes them who they are.
